Join us at the Peregrine on Saturday, October 21st at 2pm for a special Open Mic, featuring poet and editor, Johnny Cordova.
Johnny Cordova is a former poker dealer, retired Bikram Yoga instructor, and a graduate of Prescott College. His poetry has appeared in Atlanta Review, New York Quarterly, Long Shot, Salt Hill Journal, San Pedro River Review, and other magazines. He recently returned from ten years in Southeast Asia to live at Triveni Ashram, in Paulden, Arizona, where he co-edits Shō Poetry Journal with his wife, Dominique Ahkong. His work is forthcoming in Slipstream, Main Street Rag, Trajectory, and Louisiana Literature.
After the feature reading, the mic will be open to all readers, as always! Spoken Word Open Mic is a monthly event featuring poetry and short prose. We welcome all readers, performers, and listeners. Bring your friends, and maybe that journal you scribble in sometimes when the inspiration hits. See you there!
