About the Event
Did you know that Golden Books were first published in 1942? We probably all had some and bought even more for our own children. Which was your favorite? What were the best-selling books 50 years ago?
Of course, there will be a delicious lunch to enjoy, an opportunity to go home with a basket of books, and the Peregrine Book Company will display a variety of books available for purchase. It will be a fun afternoon! Other panelists will include: Ms. Marnie Uhl, Executive Director of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Karina Cox, large animal veterinarian with Prescott Animal Hospital Equine Center; and Mrs. Jean Phillips, community member extraordinaire. The panelists will discuss their love of books, how books have been important in their work and what they are reading currently, and a Peregrine Book Company representative will bring us some new reading recommendations.
