Experience the power of the spoken word!
Peregrine's Open Mic Night is hosted by poet Eric Larson.
Eric Larson is a former competitive slam poet and long ago host of the Prescott Poetry Slam. He was a member of the Northern Arizona (NORAZ) team that competed in the National Poetry Slam in 2004 and he has appeared on stage in a few PCA productions. During the day, or for some before the day even begins, you can hear his weather reports on KYCA radio. Born with congenital shamelessness, a stage or microphone is one of the safer places to keep an eye on him. Somehow he was lucky enough to marry his wife Sukey in 2016, but he has lived in the Prescott area for nearly twenty-five years.
Also, a special thanks goes to Dee Cohen for organizing the event (as well as providing cookies and a sheet for email sign up.)
Dee Cohen is a writer and photographer who has recently relocated to Prescott. Her poems, stories, and pics have appeared in numerous print and internet journals. Her chapbook, Lime Ave Evening, was published by the Laguna poets.
