Jon Schoonmaker, MA, LPC, ACH, will present basic theory and practice of Hypnosis, Chakra Opening, and Animal Spirit Medicine to assist participants in expanding spiritual awareness and healing.
Participants will learn the foundations of deep relaxation used in the hypnotherapy process, learn simple deepening techniques, and create anchors and resource states. Participants will learn the basic concepts of Chakra work and participate in a chakra opening process. Participants will gain a basic understanding of Animal Spirit Medicine, explore their own Animal Spirit Guides, and create a Spirit Totem.
Jon Schoonmaker is a seasoned professional in the field of spiritual and personal empowerment. He has worked enthusiastically over the past 30 years encouraging individuals, especially teens, in their efforts to bring their best to the world. He is the founder of Wolakota Youth Programs, the Legacy Program, and Omega Youth Empowerment. In addition, Jon is a singer/songwriter and integrates his deeply personal music into all of his healing work.
Jon is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate College at Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI, he is a certified Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist through the Wellness Institute, and he is a frequent motivational speaker, retreat presenter, and spiritual teacher.
The primary healing work that Jon provides in his Counseling practice is trauma reprocessing using brain change interventions to release trauma from the body. In addition to trauma work, other areas of specialization include:
