Wednesday, March 22nd, Peregrine Book Company 4 p.m.
Welcome to the Death Cafe discussion group at the Peregrine, hosted by Dani LaVoire and Michelle Souza. We meet at 4 pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
“We live knowing that everything dies. Like the sun, it’s a fact of life. And like the sun, we tend not to look right at it. Unless you’ve experienced a recent death, it’s probably not something you discuss. But a new movement is trying to change that, with a serving of tea and cake.”

About Death Cafe
At a Death Cafe, people often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. The objective is "to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their (finite) lives." A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. Death Cafes have spread quickly across Europe, North America, and Australasia. So far, they have offered 7,584 Death Cafes in 64 countries since September 2011.
